OYL-HighIn the courtyard of Jenna Durstine’s apartment complex, where blades of
grass are at a premium, there grows a tall, majestic apple tree.  Nearby at
Grayson High, where Jenna is now a freshman, her infatuation grows for the perfect apple lingering just beyond her fingertips.  But when an intruder invades campus, Jenna must face her haunting past, must forgive her mother for the unforgivable, and must ultimately decide if love that’s out of her league is worth the climb.

Other info:

1.  Novel includes literature circle discussion questions and extension
activities.  Readers and teachers can visit my website for fully developed
lesson plans and worksheets to use with the book.

2.  One book.  One dollar.  One tree.

As Jenna Durstine showed in *O.Y.L.*, trees are a life-sustaining force.  With that in mind, American Forests is proud to partner with Scott H. Books in an effort to ensure trees are planted in the *right place *for the *right
reason.  *One dollar from each book purchase will be donated to American Forests, allowing the planting of one tree in California, where wildfires
have devastated the countryside.  One book, one dollar, one tree.

American Forests is a world leader in planting trees for environmental
restoration, a pioneer in the science and practice of urban forestry, and a
primary communicator of the benefits of trees and forests. Originally called the American Forestry Association, and dating back to 1875, American Forests is the nation’s oldest nonprofit citizens’ conservation organization.
